Why We Built Collin Local
Collin County's community hub for trusted local businesses — here's the story behind it.

Collin County is growing fast. McKinney, Frisco, Plano, Allen, Prosper, Celina — new neighbors arrive every week, and every one of them asks the same question:
"Who do I trust around here?"
They ask it in Facebook groups. They ask it at school pickup. They ask it while staring at a Google search page full of businesses they've never heard of.
We built Collin Local to answer it.
Not another directory. A community hub.
Directories are phone books with better fonts. A community hub is different: it's where neighbors recommend the plumber who actually showed up on time, where a new family in Melissa finds a dentist before the toothache, where a Celina bakery gets discovered by someone who just moved to town last Tuesday.
How it works
Every qualifying Collin County business gets a free listing. Real reviews, verified details, the highest-rated local pros — all in one place. No pay-to-play rankings. When you search, you see the businesses your neighbors actually trust.
Why free?
Because a community hub only works if the community is actually in it. Charging every small business a toll to be findable would defeat the whole point.
What's next
We launched Monday, October 19 with thousands of local listings already loaded, plus eleven founding members, one per industry, who believed in this before it existed. You'll meet them here soon.
